- Normal ultrasound appearance of the plantar fascia – homogenous linear pattern of the tissue ranging in thickness from 3-4mm
- Ultrasound appearance of plantar fasciitis – heterogenous linear pattern of the tissue with mixed echogenicity ranging in thickness from 6-8mm
