What are Peizogenic Pedal Papules?
Piezogenic papules are raises areas that appear on the sides of the heel. There are a result of fat (adipose tissue) bulging through the fibrous support layers similar to a hernia.
Causes of these Papules
It is though that these lumps are a result of fat herniating through the connective tissue in the foot
Diagnosis of a Peizogenic Papules
Diagnosis is generally made with specific signs and symptoms
Treatment of Peizogenic Papules
If this problem is not painful then there is no need for treatment.
If there is pain treatment options are to reduce the plantar pressure on the heel and also provide medial and lateral pressure on the heel to reduce the fat (adipose tissue) pushing through the fibro adipose septa
