CAM Walker or Moon Boot Fitting

What is a CAM walker? (also known as a Moon Boot)

A CAM walker is a off the shelf brace designed to immobilise the foot and ankle.

What is a CAM walker/Moon Boot used for?

A CAM walker is used to immobilise the ankle after a fracture or soft tissue injury.

The duration that the CAM walker needs to be worn will be different depending on the pathology:

(Generally 6-8 weeks for a fracture and 1-2 weeks for a soft tissue injury)

For complete assessment of your foot and ankle pathology we are also able to provide ultrasound imaging to ensure a CAM walker will be beneficial in your recovery.
